March 2023
Dear Families,
March is recognized as “the longest month of the year” in schools, and we sure have packed a lot of fun and excitement into March at Park Ave!
This month students finished writing projects in literacy, students built up their math vocabulary skills, completed their art portfolios, and celebrated their individual growth toward their Panther Goals!
Some highlights we have shared together:
-
Students and staff enjoyed a performance at Park Ave by the ELHS band and chorus students!
-
Students in the primary classes used their STEM skills to build leprechaun traps!
-
Our school raised over $2000 in our Penny Wars fundraiser!
-
We welcomed parents and families into our school to celebrate student growth and progress at conferences!
-
In the library, students are watching chicken eggs in an incubator before they hatch - hopefully before spring break!
-
Our school held our first community meeting and enjoyed a performance by our own chorus students!
We are always looking for opportunities to invite parents and family members into our school community as volunteers. If you are interested, please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher.
As always, please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns, or to make a connection. I always enjoy connecting with our Park Avenue families.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Stephanie Marris
Principal
